Title: Thank you TACCA.
Post by: colin fitch on May 23, 2012, 08:11:03 pm
Lady got our details of the TACCA website and booked our carpet cleaning services to the tune of £200.00 inclusive.

Works were carried out today.

The lady said she normally goes on the big site (NCCA) BUT SHE WAS VERY IMPRESSED with the TACCA website and its eco-friendly benefits.

Thanks again

Colin

Nice one Colin, but dont tell Derek or he might start asking for a membership fee.  :)
Will only help to boost membership, I think there are nearly 400 registered now.

£200 job = free membership, no brainer really.

Great result! You owe Derek a Sausage McMuffin (that's not a euphamism!)

did she say how she found the TACCA website? was it just a google search?

Why would she waste time going to the NCCA site.
All she has to do is Google carpet cleaners my area and
she has tons of choice.

She must feel confident using associations and googled to find them

Quick update after speaking with lady today.

She told me if she hasn't used somebodys services before, that she likes to check if they belong to any associations.
When she Googled carpet cleaning associations up popped NCCA.......TACCA........[she was taken by the eco-friendly benefits} of the TACCA site.

Twice Colin has said she is impressed with TACCA's eco friendly benefits.

I can't find anywhere on the site that says TACCA is eco friendly!

How could it be??

Each carpet cleaner uses the chems he likes, and I am sure that choice of chems is not covered by the TACCA regulations...

Morning Hectard  8)

He definitely says she is impressed with the eco friendly benefits of TACCA Hector so I think you must be wrong in saying you can use any chemical you want.

Not being a member I am going to interfere sound a bit like overhype.

As there is no membership fee perhaps payment should be made by results ie 25% commission. That way it becomes self funding.

Tenacious link Derek.

I'm not knocking TACCA, looks like it could become quite a good little affiliate site if you have enough people who want to buy a Soda Stream or get into Forex trading.

Who is GBRetail anyway?

Woken up and had a coffee, still reads the same to me.

Maybe would have been more believable if Colin had of said "She was taken by the eco-friendly benefits of the TACCA site and decided to give me a call. I turned up to do the quote in my van that has just had a new logo designed by Alloy marketing, I slid off my LTT Leather cleaned drivers seat and reached across for my Cleaners Mate. On the way into the house I put on some blue overshoes which I had bought from restormate and got on with my survey of the lounge.  Returning to the van to print out the quote I proudly presented my 10 page report and price of £200. At this point she told me to f*^% off as there is a Groupon deal at the moment and she can get it done for 9.99. Oh well, went home made myself a Sodastream and went back to learning Forex Trading."

My website was done for me. Nothing like ncca site, if thats what your refering to.

Gary J, i think Derek is trying hard to develope an association thats different to the ones already out there. I know he has not allowed certain people into it, I dont condone Dereks decision for that but at the end of the day its his association and he can choose who goes in.
Colin Fitch is a good lad and has been in the business for several years and takes time out to go to lots of training courses and seminars through out each year.

I know Paul, and he has done a damn good job.

You know as well as anyone that you tread a fine line between honest promotion and spammy bullpoo. Its been the death of many here before, would be a shame to see TACCA go the same way.

Not doubting Colins ability and the amount of training he has done is not part of the issue, claiming he got the job because of TACCA's eco friendly benefits is clearly stretching the truth beyond breaking point. TACCA isn't eco friendly and does not promote eco friendly products, therefore for that to be written TWICE is clearly complete bull. Anyone with half a brain can see the reason for the post.

In my opinion having affiliate products on a trade association site is very unprofessional, even worse when those products have nothing to do with carpet cleaning.

I think TACCA needs to have a think about what it is and what it wants to be become, it's either trying to be the UK's number one carpet cleaning association or yet another money making directory heading nowhere.

The question I asked is, where did you get the content for your website and who did you authorise to do it?

And my answer to you is, it is my business because you copied most of the content origionally from my website.
Eg search buttons, layout/design and wording. Practically none of which was your own. In fact most of your original website was my hard work much of which is still there.
However....I'll let sleeping dogs lie ;D

Imagine two different carpet cleaning websites being similar in content  ???  How can that be possible  ???  Come to think of it Paul, you mention on your website that you clean upholstery too, you've definitely stolen that from mine  >:(

Its a pretty ugly site anyway, so suggest you both change them. Time for an update I think.

No problem Paul ;)

I have updated my site as was getting out of date and spent many months on it.

Other companies now seem to be copying the content  (wording) and when I Kindly ask them to remove...they just ignore me.

It doesnt take long for google to remove them from search results:

Too many maintenance problems.... the Airflex will run for 6 months heavy use without being touched.
Larger capacity/ power and much easier to work on
