Title: red wcw backpack probs

hi those of u who bought this model .have u had any probs with the speed contoller yet .
                u may find the backpack wont turn on
    u will probly find that water has got into speed contoller
  behind silver numpty is a washer if u can GENTLY prise off silver numpty .take off washer and put some water proof sealant into gap this wont affect control .
 if u left it too late ( like me ) u will have too buy new controller .im in touch with wcw in morning .if u need bp urgent take off top of backpack.   on top of battery two wires tapped up black n . blue one no good. cut three wires off controller.join black ones togther  tape them up .n you will have power .( full bore )but it will keep u going untill u get a new controller

phoned them this afternoon .said they ll put two speed controllers in post for me ,thanks wcw

I've bought 3 red backpacks over the last 12 months and everyone has had the problem of the water absolutly flying out on maximum speed >:(. I've emailled them tonight about the problem etc.
   This was before i had read you're thread.
I bought a blue backpack from wcw 2 years ago and thats still going strong.
Looks like they've had a bad batch  ???

I got the blue backpack, in the first day the battery indicator fell thro inside,
then about two weeks later the speed controller numpty fell off, and we only use the bloody thing for a handfull of jobs where we walk through the property.
Piece of cheap chinese crap

Fair play to Craig from WCW he was on the phone today telling me that they will rectify any problem that has occured with the speed controller.
No argumants from me  :)

as said in top post .this has happend to the two red backpacks we have ,but i give wcw due credit they have put two new controllers in post .they did say to send  bp back n they would repair them .but it was easier for me to keep them working n repair them our selfs .. cannot fault these people
