Heres my first
when i need to diconnect a hose and it`s still got water in i use a double connector with tape on one end and plug it in the open end to stop any water leaking in the van

This is my first one.  On a similar subject.

When I'm finished and I want to reel in 100 metres of hose full of water:

I have a hoselock multi connector in the van.  I go back to the van, switch off the pump, I have a hose connected from the multi connector to the air vent in the top of the tank, open the valve on that connector, leave the connector to my hose open, reel it in.  As it reels in the water in the hose runs back into the tank nice and quick.
