Title: Private Close/Drive
Post by: sham33 on May 22, 2012, 02:01:07 pm
Was out leaflet dropping today and came across this arched entrance driveway leading to a cul-de-sac full off 5bed detached type houses. On the front of the archway it had private entrance on either side I went ahead and dropped my flyers but I felt really uncomfortable about it was was glad to get out of there.

What's the rules on these private driveways that lead to more than one house and they ok to enter? I have no idea myself.

The rule for that sort of estate is usually charge at least double. (more if you don't get a biscuit with the tea)

If there is an open gate I normally go in, the only time I don't is if there's a no leafleting or door knocking sign.

I have the quote here:-
Verrily,ye old splasher of yon pond water.Cast thine damp and fetid rag of unidentifiable stains over yonder stye, whiche is mine own midden
And yea shall paye no notice of written wordes advising ye to not cast your leafe lets onto threshold

You should have taken the initiative and canvassed each house... I could lead to some well priced work.

The only exemptions for cold calling zones are MP,s, political canvassers, permitted  charity organizations, and religious groups, and market researchers

Every-two-weeks customers are nutters.  Put her on monthly after the first couple of cleans, otherwise you'll get sick of each other.
