I've got a 4040 in the back of the unit and only needed to get a new membrane but it looked like a nice compact set up that if I wanted to I could throw in the van and fill up on site. Mines got a bit more frame around it than that.

I don't do any window cleaning now but I needed to clean the windows at home and thought I would fill up my tanks a couple of weekends ago.

24 hrs just less than 3000 litres and a 001 reading with no DI

I am well mate, busy, in Torquay tonight, just cleaned the store roof at Nicholson Road, bit of work going on in Darlington tomorrow and then over to Kenton on Monday!!!

Mine is from Cleaning Spot and it is a pumped 600gpd unit, approx £400.00, can't remember!!!

Are you busy Ian?

So it works well then? Twin booster pumps for each membrane seems simple enough.

Picture is the reach2wash version. I think vyair do the same but I can't see it on their website.

what ever it is it is imported, could I ask out of interest why you want this over a 4040 Mark Etting ?

Mark

Sorry for the hijack - it was Ians fault!!!!!!!! :D

Mine has to be run on a 24 hr timer and needs to be off after every hour for half an hour - to stop the pump overheating!!!

I didn't like it at first but now I'm ok with it.

Good product rate and I end up with a very low TDS reading. I have never used a DI unit and have always gotten low readings anyway - that part is not specific to this unit.

I like it !!!!!

Thanks, pretty much answered my questions.

Why not a 4040? No particular reason. Just that I've managed for five years with a 300gpd system without any worries. Running the booster pump for hours at a time.

So just weighing up the options and the cost of initial purchase and maintenance costs.

set of membranes every couple of years £100
filters every six months £30?
Initial cost less than £200

Good 4040 would cost me around £700 with vat
Booster pump if needed £250?
£86 for carbon replacement filter
Not sure how much a membrane replacement would be.

Big difference just to make water.

mark you wont need a booster pump really, mine runs on 55psi with a low pressure membrain,5/6hrs for 1000lts.

pre-fliters are the same on your system so a £10 for two,

new membarin did cost me £220 ther are cheaper but i brought a oringal filter and no copy

i have a booster and have yet to use it,had no need, and we use 500/650 ltrs aday

I've got the Vyair 400gpd version,.. the pumps on my one can run 24/7, and it has handy features like auto flush and pressure switches that stop the pump when the incoming water stops, or when the tank is full & the float valve closes. 10/10 for me,.. cheap as chips, good performance & cheap to maintain.
