I wonder if anyone has had this problem before, just done a olefin rug and it absolutly reeks, even after it dryed, no difference. I've seen that if it has been overwetted you can get an odour, nothing i can do about that now but surely there must be a way to nutralise this god awful smell
if anyone has any advise it would be greatly appreciated

I can absolutely guarantee you it is not the odour of polypropylene you can smell!
What does it smell of? Pee smell? Rubber? Sweaty socks?
(sounds like a rummage through Billy Russell's wardrobe)

It may possibly be the latex backing. What is the construction?

Hi Guys
If it's a fioshy smell it could be break down of acetate adhesive.
Cheers
