Hi people,
Has any one ever had a water meter take out of there
House?? The reason I ask is I'm just doin a new house up
And I was told there was no meter but to my horror I found one
Yesterday! I'm not impressed at all as in my current house I pay under £20
A month, and I think we're I'm moving to it will be more than 5 times
That amount, so has any one every got one taken out and what
Reason did they give if so??
I no its a long shot as I can see them removing it..
Cheers colin

i would say you have no chance they will remove it, and £20 a month for water without a meter is very cheap think my bill when I didnt have a meter was about £450 for the year and thats was a few years back now

I think you have one year to get rid if you had it installed in the first place.
Any come back as you were told it didn't have one?

cememt it up and say it was like that when you found it ... throw some old ww2 bullet casings in there and they will be sure it wasnt you ;D
-
they will leave it in, you just go back to piped water alternitavelly as you had been.

get diigging , tap in your own line before the meter ?

i remember a couple of years back when i was part time wc and was fiting windows we worked for a yorkshire water plant.i had a good chat with the guys who moniter water usage in the area, intresting thing when i mentioned wfp and water meters the guys just said divert the pipe (ie as in tap in before the meter and then after-with a tap/valve to it the meter would act as resistance so water would flow easier around it than through)either run it for a month and turn off or alternate the valve ie on two days and off one day.this is only here-say of course and would be illegal to do of course ;) ;)it was just the water board's guys take on how you COULD if you wanted to get round the water meter issue,i'm sure it has been well researched by them ;)
