A little tip is to set a timer, I've one on my phone, to go off when the van is near enough full; you've got to judge it; but it stops flooding the van.

Ha ha love it daz!! A little insite in to your world right there :D
What ye Tds out of tap and how long does you resin last bud??
-
Quality daz love it, been on a barge through lymm, think its near my father in laws at sale
-
hi colin tap tds is around 35-40 and a 25kg bag of tulsion resin lasts around 5 months using 5000-6000L a month.
colley i designed the van magnets myself.got em from the signbuilders website.think they were £97 but to be fair it probably wont cost you that much more to have your van properly signwritten.im happy with them though.2 big uns on the sides and a smaller one on the back door. ;) ;D ;D
yeh tosh i could time it on my smartphone but i know roughly when its nearly full.only flooded my van once in a year of using a tank!! ;) ;D ;D
-
Dazmond,
everything is looking good, but i would seriously be having a bulkhead fitted as soon as possible.
Nevermind everyone saying you dont need one, get one !
If you slammed on with that equipment in your van mate, you have a big problem.
Invest in a bulkhead, its as important as your equipment, if not more important.
-
rawhide the orange hose is gardiners thermobore(6mm)its tough stuff.very,very good hose,tough but supple!expensive though at nearly £80 per 100M. ;) ;D ;D
-
ARCHER i know i keep meaning to get round to it but never do!!im not planning on having a head on smash anytime soon.23 years of driving and only one accident.work is all within 10 miles radius.ill be using the van even less when i get a car in a couple of weeks!! ;) ;D ;D
hope you ve recovered from us snatching the title at the death last weekend!!city deserved it though with the football they ve played this season!! ;) ;D ;D ;D
best wishes
dazmond
-
nobody expects to have an accident mate, and i would be making that the first thing to do, now you have set everything up.
IF you did have a head on smash, all your hardwork would be finished, because with that equipment in the back i wouldnt back you to be working again.
I cant believe im trying to even offer any advice seeing as you support them arab glory hunters ;)
-
hey archer my dad always took me to maine road when i was a kid.on the kippax!years and years of heartache and disappointment!! :( :( ;D ;D
surely you cant begrudge a life long city fan at least ONE TITLE!! :D :D :D :D
-
Nice one Daz, that foods made me hungry. :)
-
looks like you cook a good steak my friend
-
Thanks Daz,
I'm designing mine now! £32 each.
Not bad considering I got quoted £1500 for my escort van sign written
-
love it daz just wondering weather that steak was 6mm or 8mm and as a liverpool fan a very very big well done on ure title win ;D ;D
-
Nice 1 Daz!! Bit like men behaving badly but without the mess and stella in fridge instead of scran.. love the drum kit. had a do myself about 20 yrs ago. never got anywhere though. Also did you get your dining table at argos? my mrs just got 1 like that but a bit darker. took me 2 weeks to put together . bloody chinese screws and dowel not fitting right ..lol

You should fit a mini torbeck float valve Daz. Under a tenner & impossible to over-fill your tank as it just shuts off to wherever you set it to. ;)
I've used the same one for over 8 years & it's never failed once, my mains pressure is massive too, I just plug the hose in & do whatever, it stops when full. ;)
You fit them with a male hozelock on the outside, like a fill port, so you never have to screw the lid off either.
-
best post ever ... gets my vote ;D
-
Calm down lads, it can't be that much of a proper fellas gaff.........what kind of fella needs 4 different types of shampoo? ???
Joking of course. Keep the pics coming daz.
You cover warburton? Had a few enquiries out that way and would happily pass any future enquiries on as its too far out for me.

Gay fellas like to look after their appearance, and so what if Daz is a gayer? This is the 21st Century.
-
2 different types actually they had no wash and go(window cleaners favourite)left so had to get vosene!the other 2 are shower gel bought for me as presents at xmas so I must be a 'proper' man!! ;D

Dazmond correct me if i am wrong but it looks like you only have 1 ratchet strap securing a 350 ltr tank , madness mate along with no bulkhead . MIKE
-
yep thats right mike its wrapped round twice though!!i will be getting a bulkhead next week.i can get a solid steel one for £180.ill get a mate to fit it for me. ;) ;D ;D ;D
-
have i clicked into face book ???
-
yep thats right mike its wrapped round twice though!!i will be getting a bulkhead next week.i can get a solid steel one for £180.ill get a mate to fit it for me. ;) ;D ;D ;D
Dazmond, it does not matter if you wrap it round 50 times it is still only one strap mate
-
Mind that coffee I spilt mine over my computer! Never ago
-
Good chips mind!

Not so ... get a piece of wood and tie it to another piece with some string - pull it apart with a strong tug. Now wrap the string round four times and tug. Won't break.
-
Well done, Brooksy?
Your steak, I mean.
-
Yes I must agree with the above comments, I went to my local HUNGRY HORSE establishment last night and DAZMONDS steak and chips looks far superior to what i had. Can i book a table for 2 next saturday Daz?

The ratchet strap is only fixed in two places as it is. If there were three straps it would be fixed in 6 places.
Daz you have to bonkers to drive that tank around like that mate. You could probably be prosecuted for driving with an unsafe load.
-
When you put pics like that up showing your tank you know your going to get fired at.

he wont get done until he lost the load/tank,then they would ask questions, ;)
-
By wrapping it round he makes it stronger - there is less pull on the ratchets (usually the weakest point).
Try it - get two bits of wood and wrap four winds around them together - you don't even need to secure the ends.
So if he has a metal frame bolted through the floor and secured underneath the van cross members and the webbing is wrapped around it several times then it is stronger by the number of times the tank and frame are wrapped..
-
you lot really worry too much!! ;D ;D ;D
the tank is strapped down tight!its solid!doesnt budge one bit!! ;) ;D ;D ;D
if i had a head on smash id probably be a goner but most of us would be a goner anyway without a tank in the back!!
i trundle along very slowly when i have a full tank in the morning.work is reasonably local(most within a 6 mile area).
anyway ive just bought a ford cougar (2.5 v6 24 valve engine)and its very fast!!im more likely to kill myself in this!!
