After selling my steam cleaner I still need to be able to pressure wash with hot/ steam but needs to be mobile so I was thinking of a hot box and a 1kva suite case generator but my small pressure washer is 3200 psi and 21ltr pm
Which hot box would be best suited and where is best to buy from

Ok think I will stick with just cold water :'(

Dave most hot boxes will have the power to do what you require.
But Geoff of ferriby carpetcare has a hotbox type system and runs it off a 12v - 240v converter off the machine battery, so no needed for a Genni
Might be worth asking his advice on the carpet cleaning section

I know hot cleans better than cold but is a hot box a lot of hassle to connect up and transport
So is it worth me spending 1300 quid on 1 or just stay with cold?
-
what are you going to powerwash that hot is better than cold?
hotboxs weigh too kmuch to be lifting it in & out of the van for the occasional job i wouldn't bother

Mike that's what I'm thinking I do a fair few deckings around caravans and hot tends to be better than cold but I can see a hotbox being a hassle

you can set a hot box up in the back of your van with the chimney aiming out the doors, i know a few people who do it, lee blastaway for one, it's permanantly fixed into his van and is very easy to set up and start washing, depends how often you use heat though, I know that lee does alot of deckings that come up like new with just cold and chemicals. you don't need heat for decking i supose, but if you do any chewing gum removal then you will need heat or if you do any engine cleaning / plant washing then heat is a must aswell
