Title: 1st floor windows - sills that don't stop dripping...
Post by: sean84 on May 17, 2012, 07:32:12 pm
Done a first clean today and strangely the sills kept dripping on the first flooor (wfp) I brushed the sills with the flow off and even put a microfibre on my CLX to dry them a bit but still kept dripping! I do the two next door which are exactly the same houses and don't have any problem which is strange, any tips please? BTW I trad the bottoms.

Obviously I do upstairs first! I trad bottoms as I have only started using wfp few months ago and saving on water as working out of an estate car.

upatirs on 1 house then upstairs on the next before you downstairs on the first house , maximise dripping time!! sit in the van and reaqd the paper if you have to or go and do another local house then come back ;D

why are you asking?  the windows will drip off til they dry.  i leave all my windows dripping wet each and every clean.  no problems here.  what are you worried about?

Well on this house when I went to trad the bottoms, the sills on 1st floor were still dripping even after I had but a cloth on the pole to dry the sills. Never had this problem before.

Perhaps the upstairs sills internal anti-frost protection system had a leak. It happens quite often at the start of the summer, something to do with RELATIVE HUMIDITY. Knock on the door and ask if the internal frost protection system has had its anti-freeze checked recently. 9 times out of 10 it's that.

You're right!

When I asked one of my customers, they hadn't had theirs checked and the anti-freeze was coming out through the drainage holes!

I meant all of the up stairs, I would then say to turn the flow down a little, but you are new and rinsing well is good.
how many times have you cleaned these windows ? each house is different with wfp, you need to learn them all just like you did when trad and where to put ladder.
Anti frost is something I have never come across ever, but will look into that as never heard of it.
