Can they be used in the rain without killing yourself ?
Im pretty sure the ones that plug into customers electricity are a no no but the big ones that work from a genny are they safe in the wet ?

We use ours in the rain it is 110volt so no probs the geni likes. Shower to cool it down

110v from a generator is doubly safe because they actually run from -55 to +55v, so a 55v shock is the worst you'll get.

I think my suction hose is about 20 meters, it acts like a wild snake if I cover the end up, and have used vac from van before, makes very little difference if any

true, most of the time it is out of the van, rain or shine
