any one got any info/opinions on these poles please

Here's the specifications compared to Gardiner's SLX:

It appears the Elite is a little bit cheaper, but also a little bit heavier.
So spec and price wise, I don't think there's a whole lot in it. If the Elite was a lot cheaper, it would be worth a 'risk', but it's not, so I'd probably go with what I know and buy a Gardiner pole 'cos I've had them before and Alex gives good customer service.

The elite is a fantastic pole had mine over a year now and no complaints at all its light and rigid and the clamps are great .
I have the Elite 35 and i paid £420:00 when i got mine so prices have come right down .
What i like about the Elite is it is very easy to take off and add sections as and when needed , As their is no stop tape on each section .
Typically i take the bottom 2 sections off mine and leave them at home and only add them on for 2 big commercial jobs that i have . MIKE

I am happy with my Elite also.
I would also look at the 'Reach-It' poles. Window Cleaning Warehouse stock them.

cheers lads i was thinking of the 30ft which would reach all my work except 1 job & getting an extension but could i use the 30ft as an every day pole eg bungalows etc

They are noticeably heavier (I used an elite & and SLX side by side to test) than SLX's of comparable length,.. about the same weight as CLX's if i remember right.
The Elite poles are VERY rigid however, and a little cheaper too. Personally I prefer the SLX,.. but I might treat a worker to an Elite pole. ;)

my every day pole is a clx 27 but its about a foot short for a couple jobs ( i just spray them now) so i was looking at a 30/35 slx but you dont seem to be able to get extensions also the elite 35 is £357 after tax delivered with hose. i'm assuming i can use my gardiner brushes with it

seems a definate option then, im very happy with gardiners just always looking for a cheaper way

I have just seen this post and thought i would let you know that we have reduced the price of all our carbon fibre poles by 10%. This is because we are selling far more and have negotiated better buying costs and are passing these savings on to our customers.
As they say... every little helps :)

not a dig m8, but can u not reduce the weight?
i have yours and gardners slx poles and a lighter pole would massivley increase your sales,

if elite could bring the weight down to the slx range and above, they would sell loads more....simples
i really want a lighter everyday pole for me ( slx 22 at the minute ), but to upgrade to the next level is madness price wise.
i know you always get what you pay for in life but ? really a grand for a carbon fibre pole ?????????? to scrub windows?????????
ive got a 30ft elite i use mainly on first cleans and connys/fascias etc so have an honest opinion on them unbiased.
if slightly lighter and a better closed length, i would use it all the time even with the brick of a vikan, which are great brushes in these uses.
its rigid at height , clamps are good (really important)
anyone with a load of cash that knows the job inside out (AKA alex gardner)
Could make an absolute killing with window cleaners , with nothing else to shell out for except the best kit....
wish i had a few £££££££££
elite poles .... please take note....
bring the weight down on the poles........the rigidity is superb already.
get the price point right.....
Sort the goosenecks out like gardners, easy fit and swappable easily, right through to different gnecks and brushes at your disposale....i really want a goosenck for my elite but it looks like hassle?? email me if you feel differently by the way, i want a soft brush connected to a gneck already easily swappaple (JG) RIGHT THROUGH TO A FIRM BRUSH FOR FASCIAS ETC already set up and hot swappable...
get some nice brushes sorted ( modify the vikan if u must ) lol
it really is about weight,rigidity and pricepoint coupled with versatility at the business end= brushes
how simple do u need a competition to be?????????????

Forgive me...but how tall are bungalows were you are?? I use ans ALS 18 for everyday use... Six 35 in the bag for the odd job... I only tend to do 4,5,6 &7 bed gaffs and the zz18 is dine 90% of the time...

Its all a compromise, the poles wouldnt be a rigid if they made them lighter...
Alex seems to choose lightness almost over everything, I know this is the Alex fan club on here but the products are not perfect by any stretch..... Flex, clamps coming loose and brushes loosing bristles are a few problems I have seen first hand....
There are some very good other poles out there that many window cleaners use every day, some vision of the whole market without everyone leaping to alex's defence would be good....
In all honesty does a few grams really make that much difference?

I am not suggesting any other poles but the elite seem to be very good and rigid, i have just looked at tosh's spec sheet and there is an average of 200 grams in it. I have just been weighing things in my kitchen to get an idea and a coffee mug weighs 400 grams and my phone weighs 200 grams, is anyone seriously going to tell me that it makes such a massive difference?
If they are they should leave the phone in the van at all times cos carrying that round makes all the difference....

Elite have just dropped the price by 10%, I kinda suspect because of this thread, so why not buy one and give us a review?
And if Elite would like to send me a freebie 18 foot pole, I'd happily give them a review on camera, compared with the SLX. ;D

Tosh do you really think one post one here will transform a whole company's pricing strategy? There is only a tiny percentage of window cleaners that come on here, if it was cos of this post all they had to do is ask people to mention ciu for a discount.....

carl clearview , why dont you just take a section or 2 of your elite 30. to make it a smaller everday pole simples .

lol yeh i was on about its closed length there i cant afford an slx 35 just for odd jobs
& 2 of my houses today i need my clx27 at full length with 1 arm at full stretch & i'm 6ft 1"

the poles had 10% off before this thread i saw them on ebay & they looked good so i just asked if any one had used them
i like the idea off 1 pole that i can use all day & for ground floor as well as being able to extend it to 45ft if needed
