Your going to need this!!!!!!!!!!
;D ;D ;D ;D
-
Why ???
-
Read through some of the old posts and you'll see!!!!
Hello by the way and welcome to the forum!!! Loads of good people here and great info, try the search option!
-
Thanks ill have a look, have i bought a pile of junk?
-
Cant seem to find much on them
-
Hope you did not pay too much.
They are at the lower end of cleaning machines. You mostly have to put in more effort than the machine.
I am not trying to be offensive but they are not very powerful.
There are cleaning solutions you can use with this machine but it will be a long and laborious job.
Sorry to be pessimistic.
-
Shall i send it back, are they good for maybe ataching to a guttering suction/cleaning pole, i need a bit of an all rounder any sugestions
-
this ones got to be a wind up ;D
-

Yep!! :'(

Yip, a definite piece sh-te, but a wind up I'm sure as no one in their right mind would offer a carpet cleaning service based on that dinky toy - would they ???
-
Nice to know you join a forum as i have lack of knowledge to get some advice and there are plenty of clever sh!ts on here, i dont apreciate the bull sh!te just polite advice, i asume there are plenty of industrial carpet cleaning machines out there that you can hoover up dust and bits of brick aswell as unblock the sink to sucking gutterings clean is there? If the carpet cleaning part of it is no good i will just buy a wet/dry vac and get a seperate carpet cleaner allthough this is not truly the path i want to go down, it would of been a bonus if it was good at carpet cleaning, I need an all rounder so if there is any polite advice ill be willing to thank you for it

DT,
No disprespect intended. Trouble is you've mentioned a machine that is a joke as far as professional carpet cleaning is concerned, but then perhaps you weren't to know that.
-
i think he's a tacca member got to the event too early and he's been drinking since breakfast. he's gone from carpet cleaning to gutter cleaning to hoovering up builders rubble all with a tonka toy.
:-\ ;D
-
Yeah, and I think he's trying to pull our tonkas too ;D
-
So rather than taking the mik guys hahahehe could you advice me on a cheapish carpet cleaner and a hoover that can do multi purpose cleaning, thanks
-
Anything worth looking at will do one thing or the other. Do you want a sports car or a lorry? Kit is designed to do a job properly and most can't do two or more very different things.
Sucking carpets and sucking gutters are two very different jobs.

Decent wet / dry vacuum try Numatic WVD900 all purpose machine more than capable as a gutter vacuum. I have seen them advertised for less than £300 bargain... as for the George use it for cleaning your office!
For carpet cleaning buy a portable designed for CC
-
This?

-
S Gerrard why you put that link?
-
Mike Roberts, is that Numatic not like a charles hoover?
-
Just wondering if that is the machine you're talking about?
-
Yeah thats the one, are ya gunna tell me its good now haha, im dyin to get it out the box and have a go
-
Watch out beadles about ;D
-
would not use it to clean carpets take the top of and use it a rubbish bin instead.
-
I recently purchased a J Edgar, not to be confused with the legendary J Arther.
Supposed to be one of the best at clearing things up, although muddying the water could be an issue 8)

What they are trying to tell you is the George is not suitable for serious Carpet Cleaning .
You would need to spend between £1300 and £4000 plus vat Some might say and thats only playing at it . As they spend 50k on their set up.
In addition you will need loads of extras.
I think you might be better sticking to General Cleaning and Sub Contract out the Carpet Cleaning.
Also in addition to any equipment you might purchase it is essential you do several training courses to learn how to clean textiles .
If you have already done this I apologize.
There are several places you could look to investigate the type of equipment you should buy. If you scroll through old posts you will find numerous references to the pros and cons. Plus several start up threads.
I hope that this has helped. I would suggest you send it back, unless it is the best bit of kit for cleaning gutters or rubble.

ian you are far too nice a person for this forum :)
i have seen a very nice upright vax on the tele recently and if used in conjuction with the shake ' n ' vac type product he well get the results he deserves
;D ;D ;D
-
Thanks Ian apreciate it, manners cost nothing perhaps some of the clever users should take a leaf from your book, i might not ask anymore questions as i am worried what answers i will get

good idea ! why do'nt you nip over to the windtow cleaners section, you can buy a little karcher window cleaning thing-y-me-jig for about £25 and if you can manage to attach it to george the world is your oyster

first off i still think your post is a wind up, ;D i can't believe anyone would be stupid enough to think a george could clean a carpet effectively. secondly you missed out the word BIG between the words a and pr!ck :) .
finally get a sense of humour transplant. ;D
off to church now to help with the collection, that vicar owes me ! , now where did i put them crutches ? ;D

The George is a fantastic little machine for spotting and / or car valeting.
I used one for years on car interiors and they are a very well designed BRITISH made machine.
Saying that, it wouldn't be suitable for cleaning carpets as its simply not big enough, i think it only has a 7 litre solution tank.
Hope this has answered your question

D T Propertycare,
If you are serious about going into carpet cleaning the place to start is with some training. The NCCA will do a 2 day course that will give you an insight into the the type of equipment you need to do any kind of a descent job. The investment required is a lot more considerable. Do not be angry with the answers you have been given up to now you obviously do not have a clue about what you are going into if you feel that you can buy such an inferior machine and consider yourself a professional.
There are a lot of crooks and conmen trying to convince people that they are offering a proffessional service with such crap machines, these people are not held in very high regard on this forum. In every reccession we get many people esparately seeking another income. Go on a training course before you waste anymore money on things that are not going to do the job.
