As i'm investing in backpacks and wfp and this and that and the other, my pole really does need to find a new home as i can't accomodate it in the inside of my van anymore. Can anyone perlease help me with the ins and outs of converting a drain pipe(securely) onto my roof, especially regarding clamping it onto roof rack and locking it into pipe??? Cheers, Dino

Heres a pic of mine, the brackets are powder coated metal they come in 2 pieces one you bolt to your roof bars then put your pipe on then the other hooks in and is fastened together with a nut and bolt, and to secure it the end is a stop end and is locked with a pad lock, all bought from B&Q cost about £25,Gaz

Looks like what i'm after Gaz, at a price i'm lookin at too lol. Do you detatch the brush before you look it in?

Yes my brushes a easily removed,i use push fit connectors, but to be honest with you i`ve taken it off my van,as i work on my own my poles fit inside along the passenger side,so it`s just gathering dust ,Gaz

I saw something similar on skypoles,I think it was with a kind of slit in it,so you can slide it in where the tube comes out of the pole at the top,so maybe that's something i can do as the idea of taking off brush every 5 mins HAS to be a no-no. Appreciate your picture though. I know I can do it......if i B&Q it ;) I'll pop down there tomorrow. Cheers Gaz
