Title: Varistream with 6mm hose
Post by: PurefectWindowCleaning on May 10, 2012, 06:27:41 pm
On the cleaning wearhouse site, it says you sholdnt use more than 60 meters of microbore when using a varistream? Ive got 100m of 6mm

Also, the varistream should be used with 2 diffrent models of surflo pump? Im using an aquatec pump?

Cheers

I had 100m of 6mm on without problems with the water supply. The big problem was "slack loops" all the time on the reel. When you pulled the hose the force would cause the hose to go through the other convalutions to the bottom.

I've used it with no problems but have reverted back to 8mm because of heat expansion

The digital Varistream kept cutting on and off and I played about with the caliberation but would only work on a very low flow rate, anytyhing over setting 2 the pump would run for like five seconds and cut out for five and so on,however it did work without it cutting out but the flow was on setting 1 or 2 and anything higher than that the pump would cut out,I did like I say mess about  with the caliberation settings but the best I could manage was on setting 2 but the flow rate was very poor,I don't know how it works with the old manual Varistreams.

I had a problem with my varistream digital running 70ish mtrs of microbore, it would only operate on a really high flow right Setting E or F on 6 or 7,using water like mad. Kept cutting off and on, drove me bonkers til I said, 'sod it, I'll get the v9 Liquid Logic controller'. When I fitted it the system ran perfectly on ALL settings. Sorted   ;D
