I have scratched a pane of glass on one of my jobs. Its not a major issue as the customer is a mate so not making a fuss.
Can anyone recommend a method for removing it?
I have tried jewellers paste in the past but its very very slow and not 100%
is there a cost effective (cheap) mechanical way of doing it?

Not sure they can be properl removed, can I ask how you scratched it as I have done this in the past?

dont know how i did it. customer just called and told me. no reason to doubt him as he is not the sort to screw me over.
will go look in the morning but dont think its really bad. but still want to remove it and then be able to deal with anything similar happening in the future.

Are you wfp, worrying not knowing how it was done,I learned a hard lesson I scraped birds muck off self cleaning glass,

I've heard toothpaste might work :) :)
Also, try cerium oxide (google it or you can buy it on eBay)

It all depends on how deep the scratch is, just removed a light scratch with whitening toothpaste worked very well but like I said it wasn't too deep, worth a try

Cerium oxide is jewellers paste. I have that already but its slow and no good for anything other than light scratches.
I was hoping to find something a bit more butch :)
Just found this but not had chance to look if they are in this country or how much yet.
