I've sent the quote off for a property in&out in Chiswick, London. Would be interesting to see how much you guys would charge for travel time.
There and back total travel time 1 hour 50 minutes, 66 miles.
He's a property investor and has got multiple properties around London. I clean his house locally and have done work for him before at similar rates. I do his penthouse suite/office at Battersea as well.
Quite interested in what would you charge. :)
Always nice to do jobs like these as I usually work in a 20-30 minute radius from where I live, not very often in London.

66 mins to london 2 hour inside waiting, how big is the job as I would combine that into it.

Job itself is a 5 bedroom house, about £90 inside and out, £100 with congestion charge. I always give him one price, not a detailed invoice. I should be able to dodge the traffic as I can be quite flexible as to when I can do it. I've been down in london before and it's honestly not too bad if you plan your time of travel carefully.

Well I suppose it's £100 + 1 hr 50 mins possibly at a reduced hourly rate if the driving is out of hours when you wouldn't normally be cleaning + roughly 2 gallons of diesel. Vehicle wear and tear can be absorbed I guess for goodwill's sake if this looks like it's going to be lucrative. Maybe £150? Perhaps mention you could go cheaper if doing more than one property per visit in the area for them?

Went with £175 so not too far off. Didn't want to go ott with the travel cost as I usually am more then willing to travel half an our both ways if the job is right. :)

I wouldn't bother normally, but since I clean his (huge) property and he always gets me more work I'm not going to refuse. Some jobs, like these will never be as profitable as I want them to be, but hey that's the way it goes sometimes. To charge 2 hours x £60 just for travel would be crazy. :D

I would charge a full day rate.
