i love 10" goosenecks  ,they really make the job easier,
they take a right hammering and still they stand proud with the dualtrim on ;D

I actually tried to break one by hand & couldn't! I have 3 but only use them on occasions (I'm a resi-neck swiveller see) so reckoned I could afford to lose one for the sake of my curiosity! ;D

I can confirm that against the weight of a 3 1/2 tonne truck it does break which is what I done today. Although you can only see its broke upon close inspection, expensive mistake though. However with regular use I can't see it breaking ever.

so is this a manufacturing fault on the goose neck or the truck  :-\

Not a fault, as such. It's just that 3 1/2 tonne trucks are not meant to withstand the robustness of 10" goosenecks.
Unless it's an Unger n Lite truck, of course.

I made an expensive mistake too last year!Had my slx30 with carbon gooseneck leaning against van still connected to the microbore.Pulled in the hose....you can guess the rest!Bang!Looked at the gooseneck and thought "thats a bad scratch",looked closer and realised it wasn't a scratch,it had a massive crack in it!Totally my fault and its taught me always to put the pole away first, then pull the hose in.Expensive mistake!Bought another - too good not to have.
