Title: What about this for a statistic!!!
Post by: Rob_Mac on May 07, 2012, 11:10:32 am
water coming out a spray nozzle at 6000 psi is travelling at over mach 1

Mach 1 is the speed of sound, which varies by the air's pressure and temperature.

Mach 1 at sea level is 340.3 m/s, 764.2 mi/h, 1,225 km/h.

WOW!!

i had a dodgy curry last week and i think the contents left my bum at about 6000psi there was definately a sonic boom that the whole family heard on its exit but no way of measuring its speed as to whether it reached mach 1  ;D ;D

Should have caught it in a pint glass and analyse it's consistency!  ;D
