Title: Best LM chemical
Post by: AshWhite on May 05, 2012, 05:54:58 pm
Can I get your opinions on the best chemical for LM cleaning.

I'd like to hear from people using encap, as well as other chems.

Thanks

Currently Rotobrite 2 and Enzyme Carpet Shampoo (for restaurants/canteens) from Chemspec are our main ones.

Surround from Restormate with a scoop of energizer

Am I right in thinking that Roto brite II and Surround are encap-only? Am I making too much of the difference - is shampooing pretty much dead and buried for most applications??

I use Mpower HD microsplitter and Fusion Clean, either on their own or any combination you care to think of, depending on the circumstances and the mingingness of the carpet...  ;D

They are polymer based encapsulators.

Rotobrite 2 is acidic with Hydrogen Peroxide to boost.
Although I dont know for sure I would imagine Surround is pH9 and as mentioned can be boosted with sodium percarbonate.

Prochem Fibre Shampoo & Oxibrite would give an equivalent. All be it not with quite the same performance.

The only thing I dont like about non encapsulating products is the rate of absorbtion of bonnets ist enough to avoid spreading soil.
I have used microsplitters and the like but find after about 2-3 periodics we needed to extract again. With encaps we dont.
