Hi
Just wondering if anyone does canvassing on a saturday or do you leave it so people can enjoy the weekend, ?
Ive been going out in the week from 4-7.30pm and was thinking of going out today but was not sure.
-
Can't see why not but i wouldn't do it on a Sunday ;D ;D :)

Saturday is fine between 11 and 4 in my opinion but you would be surprised how few people are actually in, its most peoples day for jobs and shopping and of course anyone who works in retail will be at work anyway....
Wouldnt work sundays but thinking about this bank holiday as got loads on at moment...
-
how about canvassing bank holiday monday then?
does anyone canvass certain streets roads, during the week in the day time? as some estates prob have mothers home looking after kids ect, or older people who dont work?
ive been going out 4pm to 7.30 what times do you go out? and what kinfd of success rate are you getting?

There is nothing wrong with canvassing at any time on any day really, although I wouldn't knock any later than 8:00pm, or after dark in the winter months.
You will always find someone who isn't going to be happy whatever time or day you call. When this happens, just thank them for coming to the door and move on.
It helps also to keep in mind certain events/celebrations etc., as this may have a bearing on the type of responses you may get. eg I went out canvassing one FA gup final afternoon, and soon found that this was not a good idea!
The more you knock, though, the sooner you will achieve your goal.
Best wishes,
John

One of my employee's smartend himself up last saturday and canvassed 50quids worth of cash work in our local area last saturday morning within 3 hrs.

if going I would go saturday late afternoon 3/4pm till early evening about 7pm
people are out on saturdays, if they work mon-fri, I have done this a few times and come to these times, after 7pm it seems to be family time tv.

Canvass whenever you think is right.
If they want it they will say yes anyways.
nowt wrong with a Saturday IMHO thats when I did most of mine.

my leafletters work saturdays

Not sure if that applies to where I live, but common sense and consideration for householders tell me that 8:00pm is late enough anyway.
