I price per square metre - £2 - so I guess that makes it about 20p per sq ft. Some guys claim to charge as much as £5 per square metre. Depends on which part of the country you are in and what you can get away with. £2 per metre is quite expensive where I am located but I suspect quite cheap for many areas.

Don't answer her with the going rate. Answer her what she asked, YOUR price per square foot, or metre.

But I'm assuming from your question you don't work that way so answer her how you do arrive at a price.
