I've started to since the beginning of last winter
reason being my towns so busy, people, traffic, buses, cyclists everywhere even on most of my domestic round.
Its mostly a waste of time though, even with a cone out and a hi viz, I still get people constantly almost walking straight ino me whilst texting etc.
my main gripe though is I often keep the pavement clear and stand off the kerb to clean 1st and 2nd floors and give people room to walk past in front of me where I can see them. Lost count of the number of near misses I've had where someones snuck past behind me within inches and nearly smacked em one in the face with either the end of the pole or an elbow ! ::) :D

Only ever worn one on a single commercial job that demanded it - along with washing the wheels of the van down with chemical !
-
Its not a bad idea to look the biz rather than for any safety reason. I have a hi-viz coat that I often wear in the winter but only because its a lovely coat for the £15 it cost me. Warm, dry windproof and now over 5 years old.

Nope

having a logo on is a good way of having a cheap uniform and goes over whatever you happen to be wearing that day, (without sounding "unprofessional" - rolls eyes)
-
Yes own hi-viz jacket and wear it most of the time especially when I clean service stations kiosk's.. ;D ;D
-
where hi viz on jobs where it is needed only, on domestics never (unless it is for the building sites we do)

I always wear one with our details on the back, I was stopped just the other day as someone noticed me and I picked up a customer.
A friend of mine that's been trad for 30 odd years told me that people rarely come up to him and ask (he is a little scary lol) but that they normally ask his customers to ask him to pop in after. I've had calls from new customers because they think they are calling "head office" and wondered if the man could also do there's while he's there ;)
-
Yes. I wear a hi viz waistcoat and put out the cones. Have done it since going on the city and guilds course! We only do army married quarters and they like the image. Gets you noticed and has got me quite a few new customers.

my guys wear them all the time ;)
