Looking for some info please  :)

First time on this aprt of the forum but looking to add on another service to our window cleaning business so have a few questions if anyone can advise me

Pretty much sure that Im right in thinking I need at least a Honda 13hp 3500psi and 15 litres a minute machine ??

if theyre a little basic then I apologise now

Apart from the machine what else would you suggest I buy eg a whirlaway, turbo nossle, longer hose if yes what length ?

What is a turbo nossle and do I need one ?

On block paving what type of sand do I need to brush between the joints ?

Can the resanding be done in just dry weather ?

Is the going rate about £3 to £4 a square metre ?

On say a driveway measuring 3m wide and 10m long how long would you allow to do this job ? .. would about 2 hours be about right plus resanding ?

Sorry if basic

Hi Ian
I do a few drives and advise you to get a whirlaway/FSC if you are serious about it otherwise every job will take you ages. The Honda machine is what I use and is perfect. You can spend a lot more on a more powerful machine but you dont need to.
If you can get £4 a sq mtr then more power to you. When i used to measure every job, I priced it around £2.50 per sq mtr including sanding. Now when I am looking at a new job I think I know how long it will take me without measuring up and so don't bother. For example, the 10m x 3m drive you mention would take around an hour to clean and then 20 minutes or so to brush the sand in on a dry day {got to be dry. otherwise the sand balls up and the finish is poor}. So I would price it accordingly and you will win more jobs this way.
You will get the block paving sand at Wickes/BnQ for around £4 per bag. The small drive above would use one bag.
I use the standard length hose, it's around 20 mtrs long and I haven't needed anything longer. Think about each job, where you will put the water/power washer so you can reach the most etc without moving it. Look at the flow, where all the muck/water will go when you are cleaning. I have a big floor squeegie and a big wet and dry vacuum which saves me loads of time. Ring me anytime 07921766022, cheers.

I've done quite a lot of pressure washing if you get anything you need a hand with give me a shout mate. I'll come and give you a hand, I can give you a hand if you get a whirl away or if you need a hand sanding.

Don't get involved, stay focussed on window cleaning. Its not good to waste your time going off at a tangent chasing one offs.

Unless its for an existing customer you waste too much time trying to get business.

Leave the driveway cleaning to the men with heavy Irish accents and an address on a caravan site.
