Title: Advertising for canvasser ?
Post by: wpclean on April 28, 2012, 08:12:25 pm
Want to employ a person to do some canvassing for us, but I am struggling to get the wording right !

I want to offer good rate of pay, stability, and future increase in hours, and bonus.

Any ideas to get the best person for the job ?

Thanks in advance  ;D

if you put a advert in the paper /online sites / job centre youll get hundreds of replies chavs deadheads thoes doing their bit so they can keep their jsa illegals you name all wasting your time
look for someone you know and most importantly can trust
the schools / unis colleges will be kicking out in a month of so so there will be loads on the market looking more trustworthy reliable and not the average thick arse doley

stick and advert around the colleges etc
something like this

canvasser / door knocker / leaflet distributor wanted to fill temporary summer position
good rates of pay and bonus system for the right candidate long hours avaliable
need to to honest and reliable contact (number and name) to apply for this position to join our friendly team

And when all those school/college/uni students fail to find a job they will also be claiming jsa.....
You may just be very surprised at the calibre of person requiring employment from the job centre....dont tar everyone with the same brush....
The worrying thing is that out of all those thick arse doley types there is an abundance of potential thick arse window cleaners.... :)

Try recruiting from the job centre here they never last more than a day or 2

I am certainly not saying that it would be easy to find the right employee from a job centre,i do understand that there are huge amounts of unemployed who certainly do just go through the motions of applying because they are required to do so,but also amongst the many that are out of work through no fault of their own then there will be those who genuinely would love to do a job to support their families.
This is the problem with a lot of potential employers. They see unemployed people as scroungers, they are not willing to look further and accept that people do fall on hard times through no fault of their own.
It's like the WC'S who automatically believe that anyone driving a battered car with ladders on and cleaning windows cheaper than themselves must be benefit cheats....they are all tarred with the same brush...but it is not allways the case.

i wouldnt look too deeply ,its a lottery , its surprising how appearances can be deceptive

having said that,if on first sight the 1 word that springs to mind is "lazy "   , best to move on.
heel dragging is a bad sign   as is wearing very thick pullovers or duffel coats - nobody who is agile wears thick clothing

WOW what a sweeping statement that is, better run up stairs and throw all my coats and jumpers in the bin and run around in a t-shirt as dont want anyone to think I am lazy while trying to keep warm and dry....

I have heard some things on here but that one takes the prize....
