Title: Terraced houses
Post by: john63. on April 28, 2012, 12:51:46 pm
starting to dislike these now customer sees u out the front but still dont open back door, even when u have asked before so u have to climb over wall and theres always washing out.
its ok just doing fronts.
what do most of you do just fronts.

I gave up climbing high gates and walls along time ago . i just charge a little extra than normal for fronts only to make up for loss of not cleaning backs .  MIKE

With those that forget often I take their phone number and give them a quick call from my mobile if they forget. They soon come out and open up.

Of course this doesn't work if they've gone out!

iv got plenty of these-only the other day was saying to my lad ,reckon we climb over about 5 gates/walls each working day

it is annoying when they are in and wont unlock, especially if theres 2 walls to get over !

Doing the fronts is easy money but the back aswell not so sure lot of climbing over walls.I do text some customers but some forget.
Havnt got that many after reading these posts might canvass few streets and try to just do fronts.

I have based my whole 2nd round on terrace houses a s aimed for front only whilst canvassing them up and have got a full round of £10 fronts and it annoys me when customer wants backs doing as only get £15 all round. Its the easiest work to pick up especialy on main roads i love terrace.

used to have a trad round in Hoole Chester about 30 houses when I first started.

£5 for fronts or £8 for front and rear I recall

Nice days work at £180

Sold it when went WFP sometimes think I should have kept it as was nice compact over 3 streets.
