First house had egg on upstairs window so had to get ladder off and clean trad...got a load of dog dirt on my hose when round the back as well so not a good start but a lovely day so not too bothered.
Prices vary from £10 for 1st house to £20 for last one with all others a mix of £12 or £15.
One house paid me £20 as a tip...usually £15 ;D
I have virtually 3weeks of this type of day with the 4th week an estate of 3 bed semis which I have just put up to £8.00 from £6.00 and only had 2 cancellations so far from about 100 customers!!
Sorry it`s not that exciting in Liverpool but the gunmen and car thieves are all on holiday at the moment 8)

Nice picture story.
I think that's a great idea. Maybe I'll do that one day soon....
-
You sure thats Liverpool? You went the whole day leaving the van doors open and unattended without having anything nicked! <ust be a record in itself ;D
-
Nice work Steve :)
I know what you mean about the gunmen etc. 4 years ago I did some work flying out of JL airport through the summer. I rented a place in West Derby. Right off the road where the Reds train. Toodling along there one day I saw a real nice looking BMW 8 series parked so stopped alongside it to admire it. All I saw was a mouthfull of shiny teeth grinnina at me and a hand with some really nasty lookin gun in it pointin at me!!!!
This was in the middle of the day!!! Needless to say I didnt hang around :-[ :-[ ::)
Ohh and one night I parked up at a corner shop. There was a small queue for the till. I am standing there and the guy in front of me is on his mobile telling his mate about this nice looking car.. saying something like have it away and bring it to my place. I tapped him on the shoulder and told him it was MY CAR he was talkin about. All he did was say.. Sorry mate.. nothing personal.. its just business!!!.
Ahh the good old Liverpool humour ;D

Do you know what? I think I seen 6 people all day on this run...4 customers were in and a couple of window cleaners stopped for a chat.
Like any city, there is a lot of bad blood if you look hard enough...
but I can assure you, Liverpool is a big city and you would have to be unlucky or a criminal to come across a dangerous situation more than a couple of times in 10 years.
Having been close in my earlier days to crossing the line, I know where and who to avoid in this city, but it`s no different than any other city and there are many more fantastic people and places than bad... ;)

Steve,
An original post. Well done mate. Your round looks better than mine.
Yesturday we did 18 houses in an army married quarter estate. Each one identical.
If I'd taken photo's of it, every one of them would've looked them same; bored the pants off you.
As for those skylights/veluxes; couldn't you do those without using ladders?
-
no mate,
the roof is too deep and the roof is pretty flat actually and easy to access and work on...takes about 2 minutes. It guts me having to get the ladder off though just for the 2 skylights and 2 windows.
£20 for that house by the way and it takes 35-40 minutes.
A digital camera is a great piece of kit isn`t it? ;)

Nice work Steve.
It often amazes me what some put into this forum! Nice day, nice part of Liverpool.
A picture paints a thousand words.

I've used your van for a day before I got my system about a year ago. I thought I recognised it.
I nearly bought it but I found it didn't have enough leg room for me(6" 3")
Excellent system though. Small world in WPF world!

I know you weren`t Andrew... :)
Tomcat, I`m 6`2" and it is fine. I flew down to Stansted and the seller picked me up and drove me to his house and showed me the set up. I recognized a bargain, gave him the cash and drove home. A good move getting hold of the system. ;D

Hiya Gaz
Steve's pics are hosted on i. You upload the there and then can post multiples on here. I think its only 2 that you can upload directly from your comp.
I use photobucket myself to host pics. I find it easier to use than i.
Cheers

Not enough leg room when you do a 4 hour round trip for work once or sometimes twice a week which I do.
-
Steve
What pole are you useing
Telboy ;)
-
Well done mate, looks like youve got the job sorted.
Great post.
Liverpool is a lot better place than some people give it credit for. You want to clean some areas of Preston.
In some places I have to keep the van locked, ladders chained and padlocked on the roof rack and sometimes I even put my Bullmastiff in the van.
But then I thought they might even try to nick the dog. :D

I use photo bucket to host photos.
I use an 18ft and 3ft glass fibre pole with 10" Vikan jetted brush.
I also carry a 30ft glass fibre from Brodex for a couple of jobs.
I`ve done another day today... ;D

I open both the forum and the photobucket website...have both running at same time.
On the photobucket website, you have a drop down "submit multiple photos"
pick the number you want and submit pictures.
Then its a matter of starting a new topic on the forum and pasting in the URL for each picture.

hello stevie,
was me and my dad you were talking to yesterday ,I asked you yesterday but would it be alright if I tagged along with you for a day to learn the ropes?

no problems mate...I`ll send you an email with my phone numbers.
Let me know when you are available and I`ll make sure there is a good selection of WFP jobs. ;)
