we are having problems with the above brushes and wondered if anyone else was too, we cannot believe how many bristles they lose, both of the top corners on each of our brushes ......the parts you really want there are nearly bale they have lsot so many we have had them about 6 months and it is difficult to do a good job and get to the corner of the windows. we can see the bristles wedged in the windows when we are cleaning, what happens is they get caught in the beading which holds the glass in place and they pull out, they are not cheap and we are close to having to replace them
regards
Bill

Try an Aerial brush.

yeh my dt flocked has got matted at one side - I'll put a pic up tomorrow - and the side bristles are very shortened - I thought I was being heavy handed but will be interested to hear others views
-
here are a couple of pics of my dual trim flocked superlite brush - bought in early october last year so nearly had 7 months of use from it - what sort of life do other superlite users get from theirs? by the way it really 'drags' on the glass now so I've gone back to using the white dual trim white which has seen better days but glides better and feels easier to use

Let no man or woman say that this bloke didn't scrub their windows properly ;D
My granddad used to do that with the washing up brushes, strong as an Ox.

i have the same brush a few months older and its in much better nick although it is worn and ready to replace soon.
do you use hot water?that might be the reason!!! ;D ;D

Been using a black soft one (haven't got a clue what type) since april last year and it looks like new compared to that.
The bristles seem to have softened a bit and haven't got the scrubbing power as when new but it's still in perfect shape.
How the hell you've done that to a brush is beyond me :o

I have several versions of the superlite bruhes. They are good brushes, but shed to many britles. M new ones are shedding their winter coat and growing there summer one ;)
Not as frustrating as the extreme I bought and cant get a decent flow as the holes are drilled into the bristles and stops the jet forming,
Rob.

My first ever one was like that ;D However, they were redesigned & are NOT like that anymore. They have a dedicated area for jet placement. ;)

just used cold water daz, I'm a bit of a paranoid cleaner - ie I'm probably scrubbing too much, but I honestly thought it might be faulty. The way it drags on the glass was making me more tired at the end of the day so I've put it on a spare pole as I don't like to chuck stuff until it's completely knackered.
I will get a new one, was thinking about getting one of the new sill brushs from Gardiners, but want something that can take a bit more of a beasting, not vikan though

may give that a go, how long have you been using it? - I don't want to do a c rap job so I scrub and rinse like a loony, probably more than needed more often than not

a couple of months rawhide.i use it with a carbon gooseneck.its very good for sills and conny roofs, frames, everything!!scrubs well and its lighter than the supalite flocked in the photo.it also doesnt drag too much on leaded windows unlike other medium bristle brushes.

sound s the way to go daz. Thanks for all feedback

So rawhide how old is your brush ? .

-
I have a mk2 superlight which i used for 2yrs until the extreme superlight brushes came out last year now i use that everyday . My 2yr old brush is in far better shape than your brush . Mike

I have a problem with one of my brushes where the side looks very worn within 8 weeks and be no longer used with confidence, so took it off and used another one, really should get round to taking photos and sending it to Alex to see if he got a duff batch or not. I am confident with Alexs products and his customer services so thats why I have not got round to it as yet
-
I did post sumthing about this a while ago i had a red superlite brush where all the bristles came out i lost a few on every clean.after a few months i couldnt use it because it went bald lol if i get a chance i will post a pic.
I may add at the moment my new brush is performing better about 1 month old but will keepn eye on it.
Overall i love the brushes for being lite and easy to use but find vikan have a better scrubbing action.for this reason i have an old clx pole with a vikan on it that i use on all 1st cleans then follow up cleans with the gardiners brushes.

Had mine for about 3 weeks now, bristles coming out on most jobs, pencil jet fell out,and had to swop the y piece for a different make as comes out of the hose tube too easy.
SLX is superb though, just wish the brushes were a little tougher! (But it is light!)
