Title: Pre Filters for RO
Post by: pure tech on April 25, 2012, 12:30:31 am
The pre filters on my 300gpd RO (3x100gpd membranes) need replacing soon.
I see that Gardiners sell sets of 3 for 10 pounds but I am wondering if there is a compromise in the quality of one of these filters.
After the sediment and carbon block filters I have been using a ChlorPlus activated carbon block filter which on its own is more expensive than the complete sets of three that Gardiners and John Hewitt sell.
Am I wasting money using the ChlorPlus or do these cheap sets run the risk of damanging the membranes?

Thanks guys.
Does anyone know why the expensive ChlorPlus filter is recommended if the cheap sets are doing the same job?
