I can't remember seeing warning cones, I guess they were on the floor outside the van whilst you was filling up ;)
You seem to have spent quite a bit of money in your kit there, thats for sharing the video :)

Good video Jim :)

-
How much better is the extreme pole compared with your slx
-
Great video mate, nice set up. dont we just love our window cleaning vans!!! lol
-
Ive got the same ro system as you and im about to get a booster pump on mine,i just wondered what booster pump did you buy at what price and where.
Nice setup if they think your van is full you wanna see mine lol.
Cheers cliff ;D
-
Nice clean, tidy, organised van.
Nothing like my bombsite on wheels!!
Jealous!!
-
In answer to two questions ,
Firstly the extreme is hands down better than the slx admittedly, however I still use the slx more as it is more durable and rugged and I would definately say better value for money than the extreme. so only get the extreme if you want extreme lightweight pole and have the money for one.
Second I got my booster pump from purefreedom fully fitted cost about 600 quid but can fill 500ltrs in 1hour 30mins at 2ppm .
-
How many brushes!! :o careful your profits dont get absorbed in brush purchases

that first question does not make any sence, is the extrem better or not ?, slx is durable and more rugged, does this mean it is better, a light pole that is not rugged or durable just because it is lite does not make it a better pole, I dont have the extreme yet and would like to her your explination on why it is better than an slx which I have a couple of

do you work on your own james?if you do then i think your set up is overkill!!do you live in your van as well? ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
no honestly mate good set up but do you really need all the brushes and poles? ;D ;D ;D
how much have you spent on that system including van/signwriting/poles etc?
£15,000?should last you years and years of window cleaning with not much outlay now!! ;) ;D ;D ;D
best wishes

Ok just to clarify.... The extreme pole is made of hi modulus carbon fibre, which means its more rigid and so much lighter than the slx which is just standard carbon fibre. However I seem to use the slx more because it just feels more robust... difficult to explain unless you have used both I guess. My advice is if you currently have the slx 25ft I wouldn't bother going for the extreme unless you have a chronic shoulder or back problem. I would defo recommend upgrading from a clx to an slx though.
Dazmond... Yes I do work on my own and admittedly I have prob overspent on gear over the years.....
Van and sign writing...£7500
Brodex Di machine...£2000
pf high volume ro....£900
Booster pump...£600
pf 9kw hot box...£3400
-
Gutter vac...£700
pf trolley...£550
Extreme pole..£750
Slx..£350
Total cost...£16,750aprox
Plus brushes, filter and resin costs.....Think its time to start cleaning a few windows!!!!
-
Thanks for the input on extreme pole , Maybe you dont like using it has much is this due to its cost ?
-
Nothing wrong with having the best equipment on the market.it shows your customers that you care about your job and them.you are giving them the best service possible.
Most up to date equipment to make it easier.
If he didnt want to spend that much he wouldnt have,im sure he can afford it and thought out his decisions before he bought them.
Good on him i say ;D

Cheers cliff

quality set up mate. serious moneys worth . you def like the best available. i wouldn't mind being a few pennies behind you
-
I wouldn't say my gear is the best out there??? Too be honest all the gear was leased or debt taken on to purchase it so I am not loaded either >:(
Cliff, purefreedom will tell you make and model of their pump as they only do one anyway , not sure if I can see a number on it as its not that easy to get to .
-
No worries next time you take the trolley out can you have a butchers at model make if you could.
I want to see if i can source the pump any cheaper on the net.

James,if you work on your own wouldn't the 5KW hot box have been sufficient? The 9KW is more for a two man system.
-
The 5kw only produces warm water even for one person apparently so i thought if your paying this much then you may as well go for the 9kw to get real hot water for really dirty jobs .
Cliff, will check to see if their is a make n model num when I am in there next ;)

Aye makes sense,av got the same system as you,the booster pump as well.
-
james,
i'm after some advice, this may sound daft, how do you flush your system? lol i have the same pure fredom RO set up, mine is in my garage as a static set up. I have been flushing it but not sure if i'm doing it right.
Any help??

I have the 5kw (1 man) version and I totally agree with that. Wish I had got a gas unit now instead.

nice set up hope one day all have one as good well done mate

Wow :o
What kind of size round do you have?

Regarding the flushing
Mines pure freedom aswell you just open the red tap at the bottom of the ro all the way so it produces no pure water ,hence it all goes down the drain. You leave it like this for 10 mins twice a week before you fill your tank up.
Personally i would do this for 2 mins before you fill tank every time gets the tds down on your membrane before you put it through your di vessell. This would save the life of your resin and make it last longer.

so are you saying the pure freedom smaller heater only supplies you with WARM WATER after spending thousands on it?
i personally think his set up is great but not necessary!complete overkill!!
no need for hot water.colds fine!for dirty cleans just spray with virosol in a 5L pressure sprayer!ive got a fair few brushes though as well!(around 7!!).
extreme pole a bit of a waste if you dont use it!!
2 poles enough for me.22 clx and a 25ft slx.although i will be buying a 40ft supermax when funds allow.
good video though mate
best wishes

I used the extreme pole today and i think i have overcome my fear of using it after all you lot saying its a waste of money... The slx feels so much heavier than the extreme and i was noticebly quicker with the extreme ...Think i have changed my mind again!!!! I do agree i have a decent system and have maybe over invested to say i am a one man band i guess ;D
