I use the prochem range of carpet/upholstery protectors. They do a information leaflet thingy at £5.00 for fifty. i have just ordered some to attach to job booking forms. I should get them in the post tomorrow but prochem say that it tells the client how to look after their newly treated carpets & the process used by us etc. I will have a look at it tomorrow morning and if it is any good I'll let you know. I shall even try & post it on your thread here (if I can work the damn scanner doodah :P)

Kitchen towel come on mate lets try and look a bit proper ;)
-
It works
This has come from the NCCA and Alltec on the Fast track. Simple, cheap and gets the point over. Top carpet instructors use this system so if its good enough for them then it is good enough for me. and it does look professional if its presented right.
How much carpet are you going to carry around to show people.
I have clients that live in 2mil houses and this has worked with them, Try it and see.

I think Chemspec do that sort of thing for their protector.
-
All you need do is get a carpet sample preferably a light color blank one half
off and spray the other. You can then show the diference and hopefully
sell. Have a profitable 2006

I'm with Neil, ;D ;D
As taught by Mr Paul Pearce at IICRC.Works for me ;) ;)

Why not buy some blotting paper rather than cheapo Kitchen Towel
Paul is a Supper God but he is not invinceable.
Alltec are Excellent at teaching marketing , not so good at getting the small things right.
Ie still waiting for price of 50 Promite Leafletsand 50 Healthy Home Leaflets.
Probably small bear, but if it helps me sell Promite they gain.
-
Ian,
funny you should say that about those leaflets from alltec I phoned before xmas to enquire about prices, said they would send me some, nothing yet ???
I am going there next week,I will try again then.

I get same response from them i.e NONE
-
Well I guess I did the red glow thingy wrong !!!
-
Ashbys do them. Was on there course last year and they handed some out, seemed very impressive to me.

Preview-post ;D ;D ;D

Gavin the kitchen towel trick WORKS, well it did for me and it does for NEIL.
Have you tried it??
If not why are you knocking it??
-
I use the kitchen towel. It works a treat. It involves the customer because their humble kitchen towel becomes a super hero. Iget them to test it there and then. Then I get them to lay it flat somewhere to dry so that when their other half gets in from work they can demonstate again.
Powerful preclean sales tool!

I know the Kitchen thing works I have been doing it for over 5 years. and Paul pearce showed it to me 4 years ago !!
My point is that I need something to leave in a carpet shop for customers who have just bought there new carpet and maybe wont it protected!! I cant see the staff going to the trouble of spraying rolls and rolls of kitchen towels!
do you guys understand now I need all of the above to tender for a contract!!
needs to look the dogs!! ;D
Regards Gavin
-
AH !!!!
But you didn't say that in your original post, Gavin. ::) ::) ::)

Thanks anyway guys ;)
Look forward to seing those flyers from chem suppliers

I do the same as John Rimmer.
Treat one half of a tight wool twist sample (Pale colour) and pour diluted blackcurrant juice on the treated side so that it beads, then tip the sample up so that it runs slowly onto the untreated side and it will then soak in before it gets a chance to run off. It is IMPRESSIVE!! (sells every time).
Good Luck.

Kitchen Towel works for us too!!
I use the "Customers" kitchen towel.....so they understand that there are no tricks involved. I have two needle craft type hoops. 1 sheet of towel in each hoop. One is left dry, the other sprayed with protector. Couple of minutes with the hair dryer.....then when dry, put drops of coffee, juice or whatever.....well you all know the results there.
Amazes the clients every time....especially as using their kitchen towel.
Kind Regards
Tim
