Yeah I drop her at 8.50 and pick her up at 3.10 - can't put a price on that.   She's off to high school in Sept and she wants to walk there with her friends; but I'll still be there when she comes home.

I, and she, have been lucky this time round; my eldest is now in Uni and she had to endure after school club every day and get picked up 5.30 to 6.00 which wasn't good for her or me - make the most of it coz it's soon gone.

After school club £8.50 a night! :o I know we earn a lot more but I still begrudge it  ;D

I was paying £4.95 per hour so about £15 if I had to pick her up at 6.  I know what you mean - even tho our hourly rate is much more it still grates lol

Not at that age yet, 3 years and 4 month old boy and just had a girl who's 6 weeks old today.

Been lucky enough that we get by  ;D without my wife having to go back to work,  so she'll probably be doing the school runs, with me not far behind.

I don't do the school run very often; perhaps if it's raining hard I'll drop our 11 year old off to Stoke Villiage, a five minute walk to school.

He wont allow me to drop him off to the actual school as being seen with his parents; or probably just admitting to having parents, is very embarrassing aparently  ;D

I've got three daughters - and the youngest is at secondary school.

This is how it goes...

Age 5 - 7 Daddy daddy take me to school and pick me up!

Age 7 - 9 Dad take me to school and pick me up!

Age 10 - 11 Give me a lift to and from school but park round the corner so my mates don't see you are a *window cleaner/our car/our van

Age 11/12 I'll make my own way to school and back

Age 13/14 If you are seen within five miles of my school I'll die of embarrassment!

Age 15  You can pick me up if you park round the corner

Age 16  Hi Dad! These are my friends. Hi friends this is my Dad!

Friends: "What's a Dad?"  ;D

You know it's almost true ...  ;D
