Title: Squeegee length in regards to window
Post by: jim bean on April 19, 2012, 02:26:20 pm
Hi, now I've always used the one squeegee I've got which is as old as the hills probably over 10yr old. I've got a smaller squeegee that's about 2-3inch for specific jobs but I use my other squeegee on every window, little hoppers or 2m x 2m glass panes. Its about 7 1/4 inch. Recently I've been thinking about buying a bigger one and going round edges with old one then getting big one out to clear most of the water. Surely there's more chance of leaving marks doing about 30 fans on a huge window with a small blade than it would with a bigger one?

Anything over 18" can be a bit tricky to use. Use a 14" No need to use the small blade on the corners.

Mmmm yea when it's French doors or something of the like, literally about 30 fans I like the size of the 7in one though works perfect on standard 3 windowed frames or council houses lol

still to small for councils really iv got a 6inch one but use it for 1 house a top opener over a conny thats it ,

you better off getting a 12" mate you must be wasteing alot of time you could clean the window in half the time with a longer squeege

I mostly use a 12".
I've had the same squeegee since I started in 1991. Changed the channel four times and the handle five times.

I go through 'phases' I normally usd a 14inh, but every now n then, I change to
To a 10inch for a few week, feel I got more control oved it, and less detailing to be done.

I know a guy who always used a 10inch, and (around town) you would struggle to find anybody as fast & clean as this lad
