i would just like to speak to anyone who has used this service so i can pick your brains :P
cheers
bob

someone has used it i know they have ???
-
without wishing to cause offence, you wanted to pick someone's brains...........
those that have gone groupon, probably don't have one ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
-
Its a crazy idea, you will end up doing a load of one offs for next to nothing and not a lot of people will stay on board.... The only upside is upselling extras but you have to think hard about how many bargain hunters will pay good money for those extras....

suicide

It looks like a load of work for very little money. I think it'd be good for a restaurant who wants to get rid of some stock or something, but not for something as labour intensive as window cleaning.
-
If there is no cost to give it a try then you could promote one offs and bigger jobs and then inflate your prices to bring it into line once the discounts and groupon fees have been taken out. Not sure how much take up you would get but if you could do it that way then it could work.... Gets your name out into a huge marketplace I suppose....

see, your thinking in a more educated way!(not like the others by the way i am whispering so no one can hear me ;))
(back to normal voice)
its more for one off's that i am after,ie gutter cleans, etc not the windows
so i just wanted to speak to someone who may have been involved with groupon and to get a understanding about the pros and cons and what may be the best way of going about it
but all comments most welcome
-
I would contact them and find out the details of whats involved and make the decision from there....

it was either dai or jouk that did it apparently it worked for whichever one it was

tother week i turned up at a house and a mister n missus gardener crew were a groupon lot-the mister asked was i a groupon too .
him and his big missus were floggin their guts out in the flowerbeds ,but their canny offer was a front garden makeover only , upselling the back garden makeover- i believe itll kill them digging that mess over
he told me theyd done 30 gardens so far and 15 had asked them to stay on .
-
And hardly surprising when they work for next to nowt !

John Clarkson did it "110 filthy houses all over Leicestershire and only signed up a handful".
