Just wondering how long it would take if cavassed every day solid and got new jobs and did them as yopu get them, surely it would not take long say you done door knocking and got £50 worth of new work per day, which cant be that hard to get you could earn £300 a week very soon surley|?
-
you can canvas that in a week if you put your all into it mate.
-
as in drum up £300 quids worth of work and do that work in that week, as in if they say yeah do it thier and then or the next day even? cheers
-
i normaly canvas for same week..ie if out monday i book them in for wed. aim for £60 of new work a night and there's your £300.
-
How long is a piece of string?
When you start canvassing, each day will be different, and determined by a number of factors, ie how many doors you knock, how many people are home, how many are interested, etc. etc. Some days you may pick up a good few, other days nothing.
All you can do is go out and get knocking asap. The sooner you do, the sooner you will hit your target. Keep positive and be friendly and you will be OK.
Best wishes,
John

bear in mind that first time cleans are very tiring ,you get more than 5 in a day itll beat you down. but after that you start getting proper money
-
so deffo poss then, as quiting my main job to do this and think if i go 100 percent i can support myself, as i dont have wife and kids, and i feel i can do this as determined, and £300 per week is i think relistic target to achive even if i have a bad week and only earn £200 it dont matter as long as i can average £300 i can support myself, shall i go for it? my other job is bus driving and have to do 60 hours for £320 per week, with 60 hours i can canvass alot of houses and been thinking it cant be that hard to earn that small figure when i know firms on here are earning 200 plus per day.
-
sooner you start sooner you earn mate- but Rome wassnt built in a day. you should be able to rake in 50 a day to start with if you slog on
-
i can live on £50 per day that cant be that hard, just needed a few of you to say it, as i was in doubt and i cant do this other employed job no more its making me ill, its bus driving and 12 hour days, i got money in the back to see me ok for 3 months so going to take this gamble i think.

In my first year back window cleaning 2007 I TURNED OVER £28500.00, from scratch, just using leaflets. £300 pw should be no real problem say 6 months
-
300 p/w is a nice figure...but now take out expenses, tax, ni, insurances, van, fuel, blah, blah the endless list continues...300 sounds alot and it's ok if your staying under the radar but to run a business, paying all your dues, replacing equipment, going out for a meal, buying a dvd...300 nothing.
Cheers
Dave.

Steve
Was this domestic or commercial?
£2375 per month that is pretty good going.
And just leaflets no door knocking must be a b*****y good leaflet ;)
Well done

TWIT TWOOOOOOO!!!yes thats it just do this when you knock on peoples doors!you ll have a round in no time!everyone likes a joker!!!bobby you crack me up!! :D :D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
on topic if you want to earn the same money as you do on the buses then you need to turnover more than £300 a week.i reckon you should aim for more like £500 a week as you will have to factor in national insurance, income tax,van overheads,no holiday/sick pay, equipment and the ongoing costs.plus you want to make more money than on the buses.
also to average £500 a week most weeks of the year you will have to earn £800-£1000 some weeks as holidays, bad weather, van repairs, sickness etc will eat into that money.
if you want to make a proper sole trader "lifestyle" business then £300 a week in too low.
best wishes

all those years on the stage Daz,youll no doubt be able to "act the goat" on the afters , isnt it like that up your way? i always believed the north is far more friendly for starters .
but back to the subject, where are u Deano? you cant back off now ,im sure you are nice and warm in the bus on this rainy day but im gonna seek u out ,which bus number is you? do u perchance drive up on Greenstead"white city" estate or even up the high street?

A factor to consider is its more difficult each year to build a round as the market is becoming over traded what was achievable 10 year ago, was a walk in the park. Today its hard work and each area is will be different.

I've got a pretty full round... But do have a couple of weeks that crop up every now and then where I don't have a full week... So - I went canvassing yesterday with the view of filling up a spare day next week, I got the following:
£130 first clean inside and out (dropping to £45 every 8 weeks thereafter)
£35 first clean (dropping to £30 every 8 weeks)
£30 first clean (dropping to £22 every 8 weeks)
£30 every 8 weeks
Yesterday was a good day canvassing... Other days you can go out and get nothing at all!
