Title: Quick Release For SL2
Post by: Seers on April 15, 2012, 05:42:39 pm
Hi,

I've just ordered an SLX-25 and wondered if anyone knows if there is any way you can fit the quick release goosenecks from the SLX onto a SL2 we already have?

Cheers,

Huw

yes - you can buy a new 'strengthened' no.1 section all ready to go - if you buy a c/f gooseneck at the
same time i think there is a decent discount

As has been said you can buy the new design SL2 No.1 section which will take the quick release system. If bought with a carbon gooseneck to adapt an older pole we will sell it for 50% off as an incentive.

Hi Alex,

Thanks for the info.

So basically I could get a 25" carbon gooseneck and the new design No.1 section (Half price).

What connector would I need to connect the pole hose to the quick release hose? Or does the quick release just just attach straight to the pole hose without the need for an additional connector.

Cheers,

You would get the No.1 section for half price when bought with a standard priced carbon gooseneck.

All of the goosenecks come complete with internal hose and a John Guest connector that push-fits straight on to the pole hose end - you may need to cut the end 1cm off the pole hose to provide a clean end to connect to the John Guest connector.

Hi,

We received our SLX-25 yesterday. What a fantastic pole!

Not even cleaned a window with it yet, but used it last night on some awkward internal cladding in a shopping centre over four hours and I have to say it is very light and rigid.

It's sure to become the everyday favourite I think.

Cheers,
