I have 3 grandsons and a Granddaughter due in a couple of months, so I cannot use the van when I take them all out, anyway my new cleaner goes solo in 4 weeks and I was thinking of letting him drive my van, while I can use a people carrier.
Anyone know much about people carriers like which one is the best

Have you thought about a crew cab van Transits have three seats in front and two or three in the rear still enough room for a tank and equipment when your working

Yes I have thought of that and also a mini bus, but there is a tax incentive if I get a people carrier, also I would need 7 seats, if I take both my daughters and grandkids out at the same time

I know that if they keep on producing more grandkids, I will need a double decker bus ;D

I used to use a VW Sharan and found it great for window cleaning as all the rear seats could be clipped in and out quickly and stored out of the vehicle to save the weight and had a small wfp system I could strap in easily using all of the load points that secured the seats in.
I still miss it but it was the 2.8 petrol so that was the only reason I swopped to my van.
Had a set of signs made that slotted in to the back windows that could be removed easily when I needed it for family outings

yes i use a 1.6 renault scenic and its great for what i use, the seats clip out and i easily get 8 25 littre water containers, my wfp and trolly system, pluss all my trad gear with space to spare. weekends i just clip the seats back in so i can use it as a family car. ;D

Transporter Kombi, or mini bus. Seats come out in 30secs. dead reliable

A few months ago I bought a 7 seater`Nissan Serena Excursion 2 litre petrol` on a `S` reg 114K miles on the clock. I can legally drive within the M25 for low emmission zone compliancy without incuring a daily charge of approx £40 per day (excluding the congestion charge), I hope I can build a part-time window cleaning round using a wfp system I will put together over the coming months.
The third row seats can either be folding up to the side or removed completely, the 2nd row just fold flat and tilt forward.
The great thing about this vehicle is the two sliding doors for easy access, plus its long enough to sleep-in for camping and big enough for days out etc or to use as business van/moving things etc = a true MPV.

one of the local window cleaners bought a used 15 (I think) seater minibus on a lwb medium height roof transit. He has 4 kids and also converted to WFP. He took the back row of seats and has his tank in the very back and use it as their family vehicle as well.

I use a Peugeot partner combi (5 seats) good boot space, seats fold down, then it is a back up family car
but i used a vauxhaul zafira for a little while a couple of years ago, seats all fold down flat great space!! and good rof space with roof rack
