Title: Latex Dust
Post by: Ajpick on April 11, 2012, 05:40:03 pm
Hi,

A carpet fitter friend of nine has walked latex dust into a brand new 80% wool carpet.
They've tried to hoover it out but no joy.

Does anyone have an ideas how / what would be best to remove it?

Thanks

I take it you mean the black dust from degraded underlay. Only way to remove it will be to hot water extract it. I would try a suitable woolsafe product first then if that doesn't work you may have to move on to something like Ultrapac and an acid rinse.

It's from a self levelling floor compound for a screed floor.

In that case extraction cleaning with plain water or an acid rinse may remove it.
