Title: pure2o
Post by: robert mitchell on April 11, 2012, 04:13:13 pm
Hi , just thought i would introduce myself to the forum.

Im just starting out and finding it a minefield trying to find the best system with only 2000 to spend.

I already have vw transporter t4 van .

Has anybody had any experience with pure2o?

Just contacted them with a quote to supply and install a system in my van for their price match gaurantee and they refused to price match , refferring me to their terms and conditions which say it must be a qoute from a supplier and installer of waterfed pole systems.
The quote was from a company that supply and fit waterfed pole systems!

Am i missing something?

Hi

go to pure freedom or do it your self i fitted my own system for under £500 all i needed was a tank, pump, flow controller & two rachet straps.

Plus you would need gardiner poles and a water production system  ;) ;)

they will only price match a crash tested system  ;)

crash test systems are only good if you crash so the simple anwser is don't crash  ;D ;D ;D

I most likely will make my own system but probably bolted with a frame (insurance company want it bolted but happy for me to fit it).

The pure2o website when you read the offer says they will price match a non crash tested system(because they "believe every window cleaner deserves to be safe")

They just said it cant just be a diy kit , must be a company that supply and fit , which is what my quote is for!

Hate it when companies make a big show of offering something then go back on it when it comes to the crunch.

Do you recommend getting a tank and frame from pure freedom and fitting it myself and get the rest of the stuff from the other suppliers?

or just get a kit from pure freedom?

I have seen a couple of good 4040 kits for around 500 quid .

I would be interested to know if anyone has successfully used the pure2o price match ?

I like the look of the grippatank system that gardiners are selling, Give them a call and see what they can offer you.  ;)

I've got a vw transporter t4, I carry a 650 litre lay flat tank with no probs if this helps with your choice of tank size.  :)

You first need to decide if you are going to have a full production setup in the van or just a delivery system with the water produced say in your garage.
If you have all your ro etc seperate from the van it helps in the winter with frost protection etc. Otherwise you may end up with a full on kit in the van which you subsequently pull apart and you will have spent more than necessary.

I have no garage so the full system would have to be in my van ,I'm waiting for a quote from grippatank today , has been very helpful so far but unfortunately his crash tested system is out of my budget . :(
