http://www.dailypoppins.co.uk/carpetcleaning.php
it says they do a full uv light inspection to check for child or animal stains . i dont doubt for a second that they dont do it but does anyone else or is this another sales gimmik . your thoughts please
-
are they serious.....they then go and use a RD.....it's a joke right ???
-
No, its a rubbish sales gimmick.
Just looked on the web site, ;D are they having a giraffe ;D
-
lmao . i forgot to mention in the original post they were using a rug doctor

I liked the video of him cleaning the sofa and a load of water going on the laminate floor :o possible insurance claim.
Its very polished in the way it presents itself but incredibly poor in every other way, surely the public will wonder why use a "professional" when he's using a machine you can hire, they must have done zero research into how to clean carpets professionally.

If you watch the testimonials from the franchisees it just goes to prove that it doesn't matter how you clean the carpets its the marketing thats the secret.
I've seen guys start up with the best kit, new van etc but end up failing because they couldn't market their services.
People get hung up on "whats the best kit" whats the best product" nowt wrong with having the best gear it does make the job easier and more satisfying but the most important thing in my opinion is to get your business fundamentals right, especially when it comes to obtaining work.
I have a new guy up my way, ex Army, he's only been going a few months but has done loads of training courses and is currently going through Safecontractor. Now how many carpet cleaners have Safecontractor or Chas. Having that could open so many commercial doors.

Tried that for 3 years (Safecontractor) and what a total crock of sh9te that was.
The whole system of self appraisel is flawed beyond belief and as for gaining jobs.....didn't get one, and yes we did flog it to death, and yes Lloyds TSB (one example) being in the scheme are supposed to use only people with SC accreditation but they don't.

Used to get a bit of work passed my way from daily poplins but none for a while now I know why . Del

Hi
he can steam clean those shower tiles until the end of time, it still won't get the limescale off.
Also never had much success with steam and carbon removal.
Loved the water dripping everywhere, down the side of the sofa, wonder if it was his own house?

OMGAnother example of how a good sales pitch can have no relevance on how the actual job is tackled....... and how people fall for it
-
I hate it when people use the phrase... "hoover" when vacuuming is the correct term!!!!
I like the quality of the video, must of cost a few quid!, just a shame the content wasn't up to much!
-
Trading standards comes to mind regarding all the things they can do especially the bed bugs ;D
-
trouble is we are looking at it from CC point of view and its easy to pick holes in it,
Looks like the flooring is covered by plastic sheeting, Mrs Public doesn't care what machine you have, the idea of the Video is to show what services they provide and it does it, very well in my opinion.

To be fair, i agree with hilton!!

Thats what I was thinking. If he had a topline truckmount in place of the rug doctor nobody here would pull him up for it other than to discuss how good a site it is.

haha the over spray is the best bit. you'd think although they've done a good job with the rest of the site/marketing that they'd at least try to make themselves not look foolish and over spray like that then use it in the marketing video, makes you wonder what the other shots they didn't use were like.
