Title: High tap ppm
Post by: Pure Glass on April 09, 2012, 04:44:26 pm
Just doing a resin change and though I'd check my ppm from my garden tap.

It's shot up to 498  :o

Anybody got ppm as high? This is my first resin change after a year, but I do flush for a good 20 minutes every night and change pre filters every 3/4 months.

Standard 4040 from pure freedom. I make around 2000 litres a week. 10 bar pressure when flushing, 60 bar when booster pump kicks in, as I have low tap pressure

Steve mine is nearing the 500 mark also.
it does go up and down a bit, I guess this is depending where the water is coming from.

I flush before everyfill also

I use 4040 also. Changed one vessal of resin once in 18 months  :o on twin di each tanks a sack each. (although I did replace both 18 months ago so not a true reading although I wish it was

Its an indication that the water is coming out of bore holes.

60 bar is 900 psi. Do they really run that pressure?
