Title: Wiring terminal for flojet pump
Post by: Andrew44 on April 06, 2012, 02:35:03 pm
Silly question but I need to connect up a new flojet pump.  Old one is dead.  The new pumps wires are bare at end   so I need to connect wire terminals.  I need the round end silver ones with blue plastic casing at base.

Where do I buy them from !! ??

I can't find them anywhere and they did not come with the pump.

Any links?

Cheers

try your local motor factors who will have a selection and you can choose what you want. They will also have a crimping tool you can buy.

Other than that you can buy a strip of 10 or 15amp strip connectors and use those.

Do you know anyone who is more experienced than you are with electrical stuff who you could call on for assistance?

Thanks Spruce

The old pump is still wired up so I know which wires go where - its not really difficult to do if I had the new terminal connectors.  As you say they are crimmped on so I can't reuse the old ones.

The terminals are the ones i've seen often for pumps - the oblong ball type which push on / pull off fits into a concave fitting.  I assumed they would be readily available as they would be required when a new pump was bought.

Anyone else knows where I could buy these on line??

Thanks

Different colours for different sizes.  ;)

Glad you can get it sorted. I always solder mine as I was never very successful with the crimping tool I once owned, hence the reason for my suggestion as I wouldn't expect most people to own a soldering iron.
