Anyone? ???

No reason why you couldnt fit it on the rear door.

Cut a hole the size of the roller guide, the used self tappers, or nuts and bolts to attach it to the van.

Do you put both plates on outside of van or one either side ? That make sense?

Keep both plates together, and you would need a grinder or jigsaw for the hole.
Also you will need to paint the bare metal edges.

Have a look at Tims conversion

This would be better that through the rear door in my opinion.

Thats what inspired me :)

I prefer rear door , quicker for me to do as i don;t know what im upto , although going through floor is better for resale

I was thinking of trying to get like a fuel cap type thing put on over it so it wasnt so bad looking and didnt let water in?

A few have said that about the rollers but in the end its only £20 for another if it lasts a year and it will screw straight back in same spot!

Everybody's floor is grooved as that where it's strength comes from. Tim's is also grooved.

The only issue to consider with a floor mounted unit is that Tim did away with his spare wheel. If I had to do that I would feel very vunerable for some reason. The important thing he has considered is having a fairlead at the back so he can comfortably put his hose out at an angle to the van without issue.

I would personaly make a bracket and attach it to the tow bar so as not to make holes in the door

i would make a bracket so that the roller is directly behind the reel,

i've seen a van with them fitted in the rear doors, the doors were covered with dents obviously from the connector on the end of the hose hitting the door when reeling in
