Post by: bazooka on April 04, 2012, 01:32:49 pm
Hi I know we can use wfp to clean windows but lookin at southeast waters site we may not use a hose to fill a container now does that apply to us window cleaners as it does not come under health safety rules or are we exempt from that as well if so that goin to b a right pain

It's definitely a play school at times and most of the replies came from those that should already be in bed.  ;)

I think most kids can surf the net, find the water company site, read the s*dding information & understand it!

It ain't difficult but in case anyone can't read past the first line here it is -

The following class of user is excepted from the prohibition in this Notice in relation to cleaning walls,
or windows, of domestic premises:
 Users who clean walls or windows of domestic premises for remuneration in the course of a
trade or business

That took a lot of effort - not!

You've got until July the 4th to come up with alternatives................

Already found one, they are called micro gel beads. You mix 5kgs of them with 50 litres of water and they produce 3-400 litres. They come in 25kg sacks and I am in the process of importing several pallet loads of them from China.

I'm sure south east water will continue to allow wfp after July 4 ,isn't that just a review date?

Not sure about it being a review. Website says you have until then to come up with an alternative method.

Veola site says window cleaners have until 4th July to make other arrangements. I don't really care, I've been contemplating expanding the dog walking anyway. I reckon its got good potential. maybe this is the nudge I've been needing.

I'm not veola, but still dont believe they will stop car washes wfp etc,but if so ,ladder falls will rise, job centres will be busy, plus it cost the country more on benefit handouts
