hi
ok need some ideas on how to store (water butt in garage??) / transfer pure water into a van mounted tank..
I know nugget question but when theres so much going in my heed its abit muched i cant visualise it..
I get that i can just open the tap and fill barrells 25ltr if i need..
I would like to have a system where when im our working its producing water that day in my garage for the next day if that makes sense
also is there a time limit on when the pure water should be used by...weeks months etc...
sorry for sounding a numpty i'm sure you'll understand though
Thanks

one of these submerged in tank to pump pure out

this is good hose for attaching to transfer pump

one of these attached to the other end of the transfer hose

keep your tank of pure away from the garage window or it'll turn green
best of luck

Build a frame of timber to raise a water butt I use to so I have 420 litres of pre and a transfer pump.Connect the two butts with a over flow pipe from butt 1 to but 2 and fill the pure into no butt.the over flow pipe must be at the top of butt 1 in the top of butt2.I have never had green water due to the butt being dark green. The the stand on which the butts rest be heigh enough so you can get under the butt tape. Use a hose in the butt tap to fill 25 litre drums. My water will circulate as I always fill fresh pure into butt 1 and empty from butt 2..Hope this will help you.If you need to know more just ask.

Water butt is best option i have used mine for 4 yrs without any probs . Dont see the point of having a trigger handle on transfer hose just put hose in tank . Normal garden hose will work as transfer hose.
You can make pure water all day and night if needed providing you have the capacity for storage .
But this depends on how much water you will be using each day ?
If you live in a soft water area you could use DI only which means you dont need a storage tank as you can fill up each day after work . Without the need of transfer pump.
If you live in a hard water area you will need a RO and Di a 200 gpd ro should give you 300 litres of water in about 8 hrs .
Hope this helps. Mike

thanks
1.so water supply to RO unit
2.waste outlet pipe to waste drain
3. inlet (pure water) pipe into storage butt tank
4. then either fill barrels from tap at bottom of water storage butt
5. OR use submersion pump dropped into storage tank with normal hose pipe attached and place other end into van tank and pump away to fill the van tank... ???
Do you need to keep checking the water reading when filling ???
Forgive me i dont how these units or systems work so unsure how long i can keep producing pure water for once initial reading is suitable...
Thanks

Its advised you check pure water coming out of. Ro every week i only check mine once a month if lucky .
Are u intending on using a trolley mate longterm ur better off with van mount will work out cheaper .
And yes pump pure water from storage into vsnmount tank or containets it will take alot longer to fill containers using tap on water but i can fill my 400 ltr tank in less than ten minutes via pump. Mike

Mike
Thanks ... yeah use my trolley system...van mounted though just drop the feed hose in the top of the tank...if need to go mobile unload and hook up a barrel

I have a 1000ltr tank with ro which easily gives me 1000ltr a day ,transfer pump inside connected to 2 inch hose with trigger ,can fill my 650 tank in 10 mins great piece of kit

Paul if you are use a di/ ro combo the reading will not rise quickly but when it starts climbing say from 3 ppm it can rise steadily and more rapidly .DI on their own seem to climb faster.THAT MY EXPERIENCE.

thats great thanks... think ive wrapped my head around around that stage of the set up ???
Next phase set this system up
Next phase set my van up / training
Next phase..going live and gaining custys though marketing / including 10k leaflet drop (No leaflet designed yet! ???) around areas and the market i'm looking to target...

spot on, this is the same type of static system i use, only difference being is i use bigger bore hose from Gardiners, (the green and white stripe one )plus the gardiner hose tap. My static system is housed in my shed, which is about 50 foot away from my van,so i have burried the transfer house underground, not to spoil my garden
