Title: round running late
Post by: seamus campbell on April 02, 2012, 07:04:16 pm
hi folks, ive just bought a round, but im running about a week behind, its nearly all 4 weekly, i havent told them that the round has changed hands and i was hoping it would run smoothly . up to now most seem ok with being behind, i was just wondering how do you guys deal with being behind and on average how far is everyone behind,

Thanks

I'm always late, up to about a week or so ;)

With it being a new round, I may be tempted to get out in the evenings and introduce yourself, some folk employ you, not a window cleaner!

99% of folk won't even notice, just keep plugging away and eventually you 'll get up to speed

I did the round 11/2 times with  the previous windy and he was always more or less on time, He did it over three days a week with a 2 man team. I lost a week during the hand over  and  have lost a few days with a throat and chest infection,  the customers dont know a handover has taken place and dont really want to tell them until i  have a few cleans under my belt, up to now most of the customers have passed little or no comment at me being on my own as most who are in have seen me before

you're bound to fall behind from time to time, weather, illness, holiday - just normal - if you're worried about what they'll think about having a new cleaner just tell them you're looking after the round for him - in perpetuity  :D
