whatever you use for tradding if you aint quick with the squeege you will get kicks on the glass, i still get some in the sun at times but just wipe with an unger microfibre and leaves no marks unlike scrim can do in the sun

Just read your Post again are the unger cloths any good do you use the massive ones when wet do they still work for detailing or not and how many do you use roughly per house as I seem to get through tons as soon as mine are wet they're useless lol

When I was trad I switched to GG3 great stuff, if you get good with the squeegee you'll be able not to detail.

I use Squeegee Off, seems a lot better than fairy its nice to work with. In the sun I work on 1 piece of glass at a time, rather than soak the whole window up.

ecover is the best detergent IMO.its the same as squeegee off.plenty of suds and slip with none of the residue.its excellent stuff and blows fairy clean out of the water!!fairy is just too sticky and it leaves a residue!!

try it lads you wont go back to sticky old fairy liquid!! ;) ;D ;D

theses ones, 6th cloth down the page, 80cm x 60 pack of 5 for £20 and i cut the cloth in half as i find it to big so you have 10 if you do same as me

http://http://www.soapnational.co.uk/acatalog/cloths.html

they are perfect from now until october time then i revert back to scrim as in damp/rain/cold weather i find them useless cuz they wet to easily and take forever to dry a window,i always have a scrim on me aswell tho,

as for your questions i dont use them for detailing the edge of glass, again they get to wet after half a house,i only use 1 or 2 scrim and microfibre per day but that depends how dirty you personally get them, for edgeing i use old scrims or bath towels cut up they work perfect for me but like mosts cloths (excluding microfibres) it takes a week or so to break them in first

Wipe the window first with a wet microfibre. This gets rid of some of the dust, dirt, grease etc and cools the glass down, in direct sunlight.
It makes soaping up the window easier, too, whatever detergent you use.
