I am having some high quality, almost card like flyers, printed, on A5, trifold (possibly) or A5 flat, silk finish.
Contact details, pictures & service offered will all be present.
The lay out is not where I am struggling.
These will be going to commercial premises, councils, retail outlets right next to where we are working.
I want them to retain them and either stick them on their desk or stick them on a noticeboard (until they are ready to call)
I need something to go on them that will make them something they will retain and look at.
My thoughts are calendars of the next two years. Is there something else that could be done to help retain them.
Your thoughts please

inspirational quotes for men
cute animals pictures for the woman
cartoons that appeal to the industry that you are sending the card too

I see this sort of thing all the time in offices as I clean the carpets

I post glossy postcards.
I deliver them myself, that way I can choose the
houses that get them.
Did a house in a cul de sac nearly 2 years, before
I left I posted through the boxes of the other 9 or
10 in there. Got one about a year later to do and
just done one today both from the original postcards.

i posted leaflets once, they had a 10% discount on them. i got a call a month later from one of the houses i posted the leaflets to, did the quote and got the job. asked them where they got my number from, "oh google" came the reply. ;D
i'd go with calenders for a keepsake but maybe a bit late for that.

I think we need to be careful, these are not going to domestic customer but to people working in offices, sat behind desks. they are not really motivated by discounts as they are not paying for the work anyhow

In a previous life, my company used to design and produce/print wall planner calendars, for accountants , solicitors , school photographers, etc ,with the contact details on about that company, and they could post them out to their own clients,
For example an accountants wall planner was April / March , a school photographers was September / August , and of course if their client put the wall planner on the wall phone numbers, website , logos etc were seen by people everyday..........
I don't know why I have'nt thought of this before , I am going to design and have printed a wall planner to give to potential customers............................

Bit pricey but I have seen restoration companies supply desk pads, jars of sweets etc. Could be worth a punt to some large concerns.

Jamie pearson at CSUK sent me a calender with some great pictures of scotland on them, it takes pride of place on my living room wall and will do until december the 31st ;)
might just put away £500 for the end of year and do something similar, all though not pictures of scotland. not that theres anything wrong with scotland, just not that would work round these here parts. might do though, ya never know. sorry i'm chunnering. ;D

Why not have the silk finish A5's printed down the sheet instead of across.
Have the printer install a small magnet on the back.
This then goes on the front of the workplace refrigerator, close to where the door opens and at eye level.
In my mind, the text should emphasize that you do residential work & list your services.
A discount offer also applies to workers in the firm that use your services.
Also offer your payment options such as Visa card if you have that.
But you probably have all that anyway. ;)
Shorty.

Many thanks guys
I appreciate your input and am not ignoring this. I have just gone onto nights on Sunday and this has thrown my schedules way off.
Many thanks
