Title: Hot water users ... honest opinion please
Post by: Ian101 on March 30, 2012, 05:40:56 pm
Are u faster with hot on a day to day basis ?

Are first cleans that much easier ?

Is it worth the extra costs ?

Gas or diesel ?

Thanks  :)

i dont notice much difference in terms of speed no

they say the finish is better with hot water, but i'm never around to see the finish myself!

still use it every day tho  :)

My honest opinion - it's over-hyped and just not needed most of the time. Total waste of fuel this weather if you are still using hot. Ok when the temperatures hover around zero but heat plays havoc with hoses and connectors.
Diesel if you've got money to 'burn'. Gas if you aren't sure you'll like it or are strapped for cash. I think Concept20 might also be gas.
Virosol works better too.

just starting out so every job's a first clean for me....when I'm out of gas (so running cold) it seems to take alot longer....no problems with seals etc due to heat, customers like the idea of hot water....great system (concept 2o) :)

There has been some very thorough posts on using hot on here and i`m sold on it but have not converted yet. I do go out with hot in the very low temps as i have an immersion fitted so i`m well aware of how grime/bird muck melts away quicker.
I think a window needs 4 passes with a brush minimum as i dont like leaving the marks on a window that just 2 passes leaves and i`m seeing this in front of my eyes at ground level everyday. With good heat/high temp then i`d be happy with 2 slow passes(might go back to a flocked brush as well). So thats half as many movements as i`m getting through at the moment.
I`m 49 ,i ache.Outside of the cost its a no brainer.I was going to buy 2 fogwashes, one on each side of the van so there ought to be no down time whilst out working but there doesn`t appear to be any for sale on Peter Fogwills site.I maybe ought to buy 5 at a time if they ever become available and chuck them away if they stop working.
