Title: small startup
Post by: billozz on March 30, 2012, 04:19:43 pm
hey guys,
a friend of mine is having a few job problems and is intending to startup at windowcleaning, he cant afford to buy a van but has a volvo estate car which he could use, i know a few of the guys on here have this sort of setup and wondered if they could advise on the way to go about setting up please. what he's looking for really is the cheapest possible way to set up and get going initially, all info gratefully received
thanks
Bill

ladder, bucket, 4 scrims, fairy. thats it! jobs a good un. away you go! None of this blading and wfp lark, just damp scrim then dry scrim worked for me 20 years ago. Would work for your mate now if he has the right attitude.

I have been working from an estate no probs but recently started wfp for tops only. Now it's a bit tight so I will get a van when I get more customers to warrant it (I only have a small round).

I can fit in there a large 28 litre bucket, box of tools, box for clean cloths and applicator sleeves. Also CLX 27, backpack, small steps and 25 litre barrels.

If he's trad only I'm sure he will be fine  ;)
